Garage Floor Epoxy Tips

Garage floor epoxy is useful on many types of floors, but can be dangerous on others. Before attempting any garage floor repair, it is important to make sure that is your cement floor suitable for epoxy. If there are any water issues, oil issues, too smooth cement, ground in tire marks, crumbling cement, it might be bad news to use garage floor epoxy. This does not mean that there aren't options. An epoxy shield is useful to completely cover the floor, making it free of any of these dangers.

If you opt not to get an epoxy shield, you can prime the floor to make it ready for garage floor epoxy. An epoxy primer is a thin epoxy that smoothes out any damages on the garage floor before you place the garage floor epoxy. In order to prevent a slippery surface, especially if little kids like to run around the garage, you can get a rough garage floor epoxy. This is a special type of epoxy that has non slip grit in it to provide traction on the ground. Most garage floor epoxy is suitable for different types of garage floors making it very useful and universal.
