Standard Marine Repair

Most marine repair is done on the hull of a boat. It only makes sense that the hull would get damaged the most, being bumped constantly on different docks or even just facing the pressure of the water. The most common damage, luckily, are fiberglass cracks that can be solved with marine epoxy. This type of epoxy is specially designed to withstand the vast amount of water pressure and it is water proof. Applying several coats of marine epoxy can repair most cracks and surface damages that occur on the hull of a boat. If more serious marine repair is needed, it should be taken care of as quickly as possible in order to prevent further damage on the boat.

Hull repair, depending on where the damage happens to be, might require more than marine epoxy. While epoxy is very strong and repairs most cracks and minor damages, it might not protect the boat from further damage. Most damage on the hull of the boat is invisible, or will be thin as a hair. This makes it seem minor to the plain eye. However, if it is not taken care of promptly, it might be too late to fix the problem.
